Privacy Policy
Quarters is a to-do app run by Quint Tatro. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep and why.
Your account
An account is a display name, a username and a 4-digit PIN. Your PIN is stored hashed, never as plain text. We do not ask for your email or phone number.
What you type
Your tasks, lists and routines are stored on our server so they sync across your devices. That includes task titles, notes, and any phone number or email you choose to attach to a task. If you share a task with someone, they see the task title and your display name.
Usage
We record how many minutes a day you use the app. That is a count only, with no task content, and it helps us understand how the app is used.
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. To block PIN guessing, failed sign-in attempts are counted against your username and network address.
What we don't do
- No ads.
- We never sell your data.
- No third-party analytics or trackers.
Where it lives
Your data is stored on a server in the United States (DigitalOcean). We make a backup every night and keep backups for 14 days.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all of your data in the app at any time: tap Delete account at the bottom of the main screen. This removes everything from our live database right away. Copies in backups age out within 14 days.
